Announcement of 82nd edition of Know India Programme (KIP)

Know India Programme (KIP): Overview

Know India Programme is an initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India aimed to connect the Indian diaspora youth (excluding non-residents Indians) all over the world in the age group 21-35 years with their motherland. Launched in December 2003, Know India Programme (KIP) is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth conducted the objective to connect them with India. Ministry strives to expose the youth members of the Indian Diaspora to various aspects of contemporary Indian Art, Heritage, Culture, Economy, Innovation, Science & Technology, etc., besides endeavoring to motivate and inspire them to contribute and participate in the transformative initiatives of the Government of India towards the establishment of Viksit Bharat.

As a part of the programme, the applicants finalized through the selection process visit India and 90% of the cost of international airfare in respect of KIP participants visiting India is borne by the Ministry, while the remaining 10% is borne the applicants themselves. During the period of their stay in India, the Ministry provides for their accommodation, meals (including breakfast, lunch and dinner) and domestic transportation by road/ air.

Since its inception in 2003-04, the Ministry has successfully organized 81 editions of the KIP with participation of about 2922 PIO youths and the 82nd KIP is scheduled to be organized from 12-31 May 2025.

Interested candidates may send their applications to Embassy for participation in 82nd edition of the KIP by April 18, 2025.
