ICCR Scholarships

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarships

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is an autonomous organization of the Government of India, involved in India’s external cultural relations, through cultural exchange with other countries and their peoples. Its objectives are to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes pertaining to India’s external cultural relations. For the Academic year 2024-25, ICCR has announced (i) 100 scholarship slots globally under Lata Mangeshkar Dance and Music Scholarship Scheme (A1209) for pursuing study of Indian Culture such as dance, music, theatre, performing art, sculpture, Indian languages, Indian cuisine etc; (ii) 638 Scholarships Slots under Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (A1201). 1 Slot has been allocated to Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua each under this Scheme. Both Scholarship Schemes are awarded at undergraduate/postgraduate levels and for pursuing research

The applications from the interested international students for the academic year 2024-25 are being invited online through ICCR’s A2A Scholarship portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in. The language of instructions in India is English, the applicants need to be fluent in the language. Also a ‘Timeline for the admission process’ has been set which is given below:

31 May 2024	Last date of submission of application by applicant on portal
30 June 2024	Last date of Universities to inform the decision (if confirmed, intimation to Embassy of India, Panama; if rejected, intimation to students)
15 July 2024	Last date for allocating scholarship and generating offer Letters by Embassy of India, Panama
25 July 2024	Last date for students to confirm/reject acceptance of offer of scholarship
10 August 2024	Based on the number of acceptances in the first round (if acceptances are less than the scholarship seats allocated) Embassy of India to offer scholarship to other students who were not considered in the first round
20 August 2024	Second-round students to convey their acceptances

The entire online application process has been streamlined and coordinated through A2A Portal with Embassy of India, Panama, eligible Universities/institutes and ICCR Zonal/Sub-Zonal Offices. The final list of Universities/Institutes will be reflected in the A2A portal when opened. The last date of submission of application by students is June 15, 2024.
