"Inviting Developer Partners for the re-development of railway stations - An Investment Opportunity"

1. Ministry of Railways, Govt. of India, has launched an ambitious program of redeveloping the larger stations of the country (about 400) to international standards by leveraging the real estate potential of vacant railway land and airspace in and around the stations into iconic structures reflecting the culture and character of the cities and provide state-of-the-art facilities to the traveling public and the residents of the cities. This would provide immensely large investment opportunities for the developers.

2. In the first phase, Bids have been invited for 23 stations.

3. Ministry of Railways is looking forward for participation of all stakeholders viz. prospective developers/ financial institutions, consulting firms etc., in redevelopment of railway stations on Indian Railways.
