IMPLEMENTATION OF BIOMETRIC DATA ENROLMENT FOR GRANT OF VISAS AT THE EMBASSY OF INDIA IN PANAMA FROM 19th OCTOBER, 2016

The Government of India is rolling out Biometric Data Collection for Indian Visa globally and has already implemented this in several countries.

The Embassy of India in Panama has also implemented biometric enrollment for all persons applying for a visa at this Embassy with effect from 19th October, 2016. All visa applicants between the ages of 12 and 70 years are required to undergo photographic and fingerprint enrollment procedure prior to grant of a visa. Biometrics will be collected using a quick, discreet and non-intrusive process that captures a facial image with a digital camera and a 10-digit fingerprint scan with a digital finger scanner.
